2025-02-07 Views:792Recently, MAG Aviation Group (“MAG”) and Lufthansa Technik Group have entered into a transaction on the acquisition of CF6-80C2 engine parts kit valued at $17.8 million. Lufthansa is one of the world’s leading aircraft technology service providers. Its product portfolio covers a full range of services for commercial aircraft and VIP/special mission aircraft, engines, accessories and undercarriages.
Lydia (Sheng Siyun), Chief Executive Officer of MAG, said: “This is an important milestone for our relatively young company. This is our largest parts transaction to date. CF6 engine has gone out of production, but the market demand for parts remains strong to continue powering the popular cargo planes 747 and 767. Due to the high maintenance demands for CF6 engine in 2024 and 2025, there is a high demand for critical components like LLP and gas channel materials.” As a long-term partner of the MAG, Tahota had previously assisted the MAG in successfully completing equity financing, and had provided clients with professional, efficient and comprehensive legal services with excellent professional capabilities and in-depth understanding of clients, receiving high recognition from clients.
In this project, Tahota Shanghai Office serves as a legal adviser of the MAG, with Wang Zhenhua and Li Shun as the leads and sponsor partners, and Zhang Zhuyi and Yuan Xinyu as the members of its core business team. Tahota’s lawyers provided the MAG with all-process legal services related to transaction financing, including assisting the MAG in discussing a transaction structure and guarantee scheme, preparing a full set of transaction documents, etc., and successfully assisting the MAG in completing this transaction.
